    hi everbody i weigh 245 @ 13.6%bf, and i train 5 days a week. i am taking pretty basic supps. bulk creatine arginine taurine and glutamine, flaxseed oil, and a multi. i normally drink b/w 160 and 200oz of water. I have come into a disagreement w/ a friend who says i need only 100oz of water a day. I was wondering if anybody in here knows approximately how much water i should be taking in daily. Thank you for your help

    there really is no approximate number. your daily needs will be different based on the amount of water and energy your body is expending. drinking more water than your body needs for optimal hydration does not have any extra bonus or anything and can make you lethargic and give you nasty headaches. just try and keep your urine clear to a very light yellow and you will know you are optimally hydrated.

    Whats the difference between the strong and the weak? its simple actually, in that through all the set-backs, bumps, and dead-ends that one faces on the road of life, the strong persevere on the road while the weak veer off in search of shortcuts or the broad level path that others constantly tempt them with until they become so lost that they lose sight of what they where striving to attain at the end of the narrow, twisting, bumpy road of life.

    Yep.. the golden average is somewhere around 120oz a day. If youre an ordinary person that doesnt work out or do any supps or anything its less. As people say, it really depends on alot of stuff.

    But if you`re using what you are mentioning and are almost 250, somewhere around 120oz would be optimal I think. Its about hitting that golden average

    Simple solution: If you're thirsty, DRINK!

    Water requirements are affected by activity level, body size, climate, and altitude. So it's quite hard to come up with a universal setting.

    Drinking in sips, and playing by ear is the best route. As mentioned above, if your feeling thirsty, or notice your piss is a dark yellow....drink some water.

    I just carry that old dreaded gallon jug of water with me everywhere, I drink it all day and keep my urine pretty clear all day long, and I know I'm good and hydrated!!

    ohh hell yeah, though i havent played in like 3 years so im probably gonna suck a little when i start out...just trying to work up a good conditioning program right now as i am a little heavy at 245 13%bf

    Haven't played since '05. Totally miss it :(

    I wanna say it's the head coach of John's Hopkin's that does this. But he will not let his players run any long distances: only short sprints.

    Lacrosse is a very anaerobic activity which involves short, explosive spurts of speed and power.

    Just throwing it out there for some conditioning ideas. You don't really need endurance.

    well that is freakin awesome as i am a short sprint kind of guy i hate the mile i dont even know what i can run it in but like the 40 im decently fast for my size i run a 4.83
