Default Whats the Best Whey (type) protein?

    Share |
I am wondering what is the best Whey protein on the market currently?

Last time I took Nitro Tech but that was years ago.

I don't want to get fat, but want to be back up to 200 pds before April.

Btw I want SX back. Thanks

man, everybody has their own personal favorites.. i think Gaspari Nutrition has a real solid product line, as well as VPX, but personally, i've gotten spoiled on BSN's Syntha-6. it is not exclusively whey protein, it's a blend of 6 different types of proteins, all of which are supposed to be released and absorbed by the body at different rates, ie the whey absorbs in the first couple of hours, the cassein being the slowest absorbing thus being ideal to take before bedtime, and the others in between the two. is it the best protein out there? i don't know, but i think it is hands down the best tasting. i buy the protein blends now because it's cheaper than buying several different proteins- depending on your needs, eating schedule, sleeping habits etc. for a pure whey protein, i've heard optimum nutrtion makes a very good whey protein... just my .02 cents.. either way you go, check out Nutraplanet.com for great prices, selection, customer service, and free shipping on orders over $75.00...

To be honest unless your looking for something extra added like kim mentioned with the 6in1 type thing or with added creatine etc, id just go for the cheapest or nicest tasting. Fortunately in the UK there is myprotein.co.uk - The Leading Online Manufacturer & Supplier of Sports and Nutritional Supplements, bulk powders are cheap as hell, and damn it tastes good!

I will probably get a multi protien type thing. I dont have a real strict diet but i try not to eat Mc Donalds and other crap.

Taste doesn't matter. I think it all tastes like crap..

basically tho I want what will help me grow without getting fat.

My goal is to get back to 200-210 pds benching close 300 pds and running 12 minute 2 miles.

I did that before but Had no life due to the Iraq war and the military locking us down in Korea.

bingo *bigd*... you hit it right on the head..if money is tight, and we all know supplements cost a fortune, just find one where you get the most bang for your buck... they all taste pretty good these days.. and you can always add some peanut butter, fresh fruit, etc. to add some more flavor, calories etc...

I hate choc protein shakes, tried a choc weightgainer which everyone said was nice and it made me throw up!

The strawberry flavour for myprotein tastest better than what you would buy from a cafe etc in my opinion, I could drink 10 a day there so nice close 2nd in taste for me is muscle milk

honestly you are gonna get a lot of views on this subject. I personally use 100% whey gold standard, I have had really good luck with this company , its Optimum Nutrition. And I buy a 10lb bag of it in double rich chocolate its amazing and for about 65 bucks for the whole 10 lb bag.
