I have been eating a meal about 1 1.5-2 hours before i train, I was wondering if most of you have protein in your meal? Or do you just have a shake with the meal. Reason I ask is im looking to save on my whey protein usage. I usually do some slow carbs and a shake, then trian like i said 1 1.5-2 hours later, So would it be more beneficail to have like some lean meats like chiken or fish or something in that nature, vs the protein shake. I usually take the shake with some glutamine also.
