I just got my Mass FX Maximum Strength and Hyperdrol X2 in the mail today and I couldn't be more excited. I'm in season with rugby right now, but I'm also training for a bench competition here at school so I thought I'd log my results and see what happens. I'm not really concerned with any size or mass gains so I won't be focusing on measurments or weight, just strength. Hold on, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

As a quick note, since I'm in season for rugby my volume is a bit reduced from what it would normally be.

    Day 1

    Back/Biceps

    Deadlifts 5x5 (275)
Chinups 5,3,2 (post exhaust with lat pulldowns 8x130)
EZ-bar Bicep Curls 3x5 (115 regular grip, 105 narrow grip, 105 wide grip)
    T-Bar Rows 3x5 (135 not including bar)
    Decline Bench Crunches 4x25
Russian Twists 4x50 (12lb medicine ball)
    Standing Rope Pulldowns 3x25 (1 setx150 2 setsx135)

After that I ran for 20 minutes. Overall I completed 2.3 miles.

I really didn't think that I'd like doing the reduced volume work, but I was really working up a sweat. The cardio felt good as I needed to add some to increase my endurance for rugby.

I didn't really feel any different today, but I'm really excited for the effects of the UMC to kick in.

As for my other supplements I'm taking fish oil, creatine and whey.

Yeah, you all seem like general badasses if you ask me. It's nice to see a company that is involved in the gym as much as they are involved in their business.

So maybe it's just me, but my arms look bigger and feel more full when I poke them than they usually do after a workout. Even though my workout was at 3:00 and it's now 11:48. I'll have to see if the same thing happens tomorrow after leg day.

    Day 2

    Legs

    Squats (5x275, 3x295, 3x305, 2x315, 1x315)
    Lunges 3x10 (45's each hand)
Standing Calf Raises 3x15 (410 + whatever the smith machine bar weighs)
    Hang Cleans 3x5 (155, 145, 155)

Just to clear up any questions I do squats to where I my quads are parallel to the floor, knees a bit past 90 degrees. My hang cleans are done where I do a small jump and clean the bar, while I'm doing that I drop down and do a full front squat back up.

It's been a long time since I did heavy legs so this really kicked me ass. Originally my last set was going to be 1 rep at 315, but I cranked out another and then went back and decided to do 1 more for good reason. I think the UMC is really kicing in because I never would have done that before. Overall things are going great.

Feeling daring today, huh? Nice job on the leg workout.

11-alpha can cause a pretty nice "hardening/fullness" effect. Perhaps that's what you're noticing from your arms.

Yeah, I've been doing a super high rep hypertrophy program so it's nice to get a feel for where my stength actually is. It's nice to have strong legs so I can truck over guy on the rugby pitch. I will say though, the nice benefit to having done that super high rep program is that I got real used to dealing with massive lactic acid buildup. My legs just don't seem to get tired like they used to.

    Day 3

    Chest/Triceps/Shoulders

    Flat Bench Press 8x3 (145 + 50lbs of bands)
    Tate Press 3x5 ( 40lb dumbbells)
    Lateral Shoulder Raises 3x5 (30, 25, 25)
    Incline DB Bench Press 3x5 (150, 150, 140)

Overall I had a good workout today. I used the dynamic bench routine that they use over at Westside. Luckily no one looked at me strange when I brought the bands out. I even had a guy come up and ask me what they were for. On another note I got so hyped up to workout today that I totally forgot to take anything pre-workout. I realized this halfway through lifting so I just decided to go with it and finish. I just took everything right when I got home.

I know I saw the answer on another thread, but I can't find it. Do I just take my doeses around the same time on the days when I don't lift?
