Rags about to make some serious gains! Looking forward to your final thoughts on NOS-FX
Been keeping track of my workouts in my NOS-FX log. Just thought I'd jump in here and say I'm starting my 3-AD/H-Drol cycle the day after I run out of NOS-FX. I'll be tracking my progress here.![]()

Workouts.. I figure it's only an hour or so... a day... maybe 8 hours a week... so why not kick my own ass!
Decided to start this March 1st. I should be done with NOS-FX by then. You think I'm ready to rock or what? Not shown is the bottle of HD-X2 and MassFX I have yet to buy.
Yesterday was Day 3 of my 3-AD/H-Drol stack. I decided to start it a little early. I've made some changes to my workout routine. Anybody that's seen my last post in my NOS-FX log will know this already. Just figured I'd reiterate some things here since I'm gonna be picking my training log back up now that today is my last day of NOS-FX.
New workout schedule:
Friday: Quads, Biceps
Saturday: Delts,Triceps
Sunday: Back, Calves
Tuesday: Chest, Hamstrings
I'll work forearms and abs in there somewhere. The reason for the funky split is because it works best with me and my wife's personal schedules. I'm gonna starting doing higher reps, the typical 8-12 rep range and I'll be doing 3 working sets for most exercises. I've been doing doing mostly 3-6 reps and only 2 sets for like 4 months now. Time for a break from that. I've been focusing on strength for a while, now it's time to focus on mass baby. Gotta get huge! Here's yesterday's workout:
Squat: 12x225, 7x245, 6x245
Leg Press: 10x540, 8x540 Legs beginning to feel rather week
Leg Extension: 10x140, 8x140 Drop Set to 90, 50
Standing BB Curl: 12x110, 8x120
Incline DB Curl: 8x50, 8x50, 8x50 I can't remember the last time I kept the weight the same for 3 sets
DB Hammer Curl: 8x60, 8x55 Sissy
I am really sore today. I'm usually not this sore this fast. I guess I gotta get used to the higher volume.
Looks like a good workout for hypertrophy and gaining as much mass as possible while on that stack.
Hell yeah man, I hope so. I'm all about it.
Today was my last day of NOS-FX. I'm about to post stuff that I just posted in that log, but after today, everything is going only in this training log. I've never used H-Drol before, but I have used 3-AD. I got mediocre results the last time I used it, but I don't think my head was in the game like it should've been. So, we're gonna give it another go eating massive amounts of food and tearing up the gym, along with adding some H-Drol to it.
I'd like to do H-Drol by itself to see what it can do for me, but at this point in the game, I'm starting to get desperate and need to hit my body with something to get it growing more. The last few years has been nothing but struggling to keep my body weight over 200 lbs. The most I've ever weighed is about 204 and I think that was at the end of '07, possibly very early '08. That is the last time I was over 200. So if I'm not gonna get some real shiznitty, which I'm not, I'll try this stack out. And for what everything for the cycle and PCT costs, I sure hope it's worth it, as it's by far the most I've ever spent.
Here's my workout from this morning:
Standing BB Press: 12x135, 8x145, 8x145
BB Shrug, Behind the Back: 13x295, 11x315, 9x325
DB Side Lateral: 12x30, 9x35
DB Rear Lateral: 12x60, 10x65
Close Grip Bench: 7x225, 8x225(1 FR), 5x225
Pushdowns, Elbows Out: 11x80, 10x80 (Did these on the pulldown machine)
One Arm Pushdown, Palm Up: 12x50, 10x50 Drop set to 35, 25
It was a good workout. I felt motivated and had a lot of drive, which I haven't been feeling a whole lot of lately. I weighed 200 at the gym today. That's awesome. I'm not gonna go by the gym scale for this cycle, I'll be weighing myself every morning at home before breakfast on my digital scale. But still, I weigh myself everytime I'm at the gym and today's the first time the gym scale hit 200 since whenever. So that's good. It did hit 199 about a week and a half ago, the day before I was sick.
Here's actually what my scale at home has said the last three days, including today: 192.4, 194.4, 196.4. Ha, 2 pounds a day. Let me imagine for a moment that I'll continue gaining 2 pounds a day for like the next two weeks...
Anyway, I feel pretty good. My right shoulder is bothering me a tad, which is why I didn't do skullcrushers, which seemed to bother it. I need to get some more Animal Flex, I ran out a few weeks ago and haven't gotten more. I think my joints are actually starting to feel a little more achey, so I'm ordering some today (I've been using it for almost two years with hardly any break from it). Oh yeah, I'm gonna get some pics up like tomorrow and throughout the cycle to help judge my gains. I keep forgetting to have the wife take some pictures. Hopefully tonight.

Great workout, when i got a partial tear in my RC i laid off Skull crushers for a while but i found that Incline Skull Curshers seem to put a lot less stress on the shoulder and elbow joint, so maybe give that a try once you start to get better.

Did some back and calves today. Deadlift is the one exercise that I'll keep the reps low for. I was a little disappointed again with my deadlift number today, but most of the workout was alright. Nothing too spectacular. I didn't have a good breakfast this morning, so I blame that. I'm probably gonna add one more back exercise into my routine and I'll probably add abs to this workout.
Deadlift: 3x425, 2x425
Reverse Grip Pulldown: 11x170, 7x180, 6x180
Bent Over Row: 11x235, 8x255, 8x255
Calf Press: 34x180, 21x270, 16x360

Had a good chest workout yesterday. I was supposed to do hamstrings, too, but I didn't due to time constraints. I felt good except for my right shoulder. There was some pain in it right away when I started doing flat bench. I decided that it was safe enough to work through it, which I did, as the pain wasn't too bad. If it would've gotten worse I certainly would've backed off, but all seems to be well. And I got my Animal Flex today, so hopefully that'll help.
Strength seemed pretty high for the most part and I had an awesome pump at the end of the workout. I was definitely looking pretty beefy. There's no doubt that I'm looking bigger now than when I started this cycle 8 days ago. I took my shirt off when I got home and the wife couldn't resist grabbing the pecs, she said I was looking pretty big.
Flat BB Bench: 11x225, 8x235, 7x235 || No spotter
Incline BB Bench: 9x185, 8x185, 9x185
Decline BB Bench: 10x225, 8x235, 7x235
Decline DB Flye: 11x60, 7x65
No workout today. I'll be checking out a new gym this weekend. I'm now 20 miles away from the gym I workout at since I moved last month. There's a gym that's about 10 miles away that I called yesterday. They're slightly cheaper and the manager said he'd give me a week for free to try it out. So I'm gonna check it out today and get my free pass.
In the meantime, I'm waiting to hear back from the gym owner of the place I'm at now. I left him a message yesterday asking for a lower rate explaining my situation. We'll see what happens.
Body weight this morning: 199.2 lbs Very nice.
So, after reading recently on bb.com about the possibility of piracetam going the way of pharmaceuticals, I figured I'd get some to try out. Anybody here used it? What were the results? I figured since I'm doing the online schooling now, maybe I can use it when I'm taking a hard class (I'm a genius, though, so there won't be any hard classes, ha).
I figured I'd start out with a gram, twice a day and see how that feels. Any advice, suggestions?
Did some quads and biceps at a new gym this morning. The gym seems to be pretty good. It's got cybex and nautilus machines and mostly hammer strength benches. It's small, like the gym I'm at now, so there's only one rack, one smith machine, one of each bench. Machines definitely take up more space than the free weights, but I'm used to that. There seems to be some bigger guys in this gym compared to my current gym.
I shoulda wore my AX beanie. I did wear my Ironville shirt that says "Put The Metal Where Your Mouth Is" on the back. Had a good workout. My legs are toast. There was some lady going back and forth between leg press and other things, so I did BB Lunges instead. If I had been done with squats a couple minutes sooner, I wouldv'e gotten the leg press. It's alright, though. The lunges kicked my ass, especially after doing squats that were heavier and with more reps than last week.
Bodyweight this morning: 199.6 lbs
Squat: 12x235, 10x250, 9x260 || Finished with 245 for 6 last week. How's that for a gain?
BB Lunge: 11x135, 9x145
Leg Extension: 14x155, 12x170, 10x180 Drop set to 110, 65 || This was a Nautilus Nitro leg ext. It felt nice, better than the cybex one I'm used to using. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't lower the weight as far as I like to.
Standing BB Curl: 12x115 Like it was nothing, 7x135 That felt heavy
Incline DB Curl: 9x50, 7x50, 7x50 || Shitty. My arms have been getting weak awfully quick.
DB Hammer Curl: 7x60, 8x55 || This is worse than last weak, what the hell. I think I was just worn out from the quad workout. That's my excuse.
